I
am a multimedia painter and self-taught photographer. In my work, I like a variety of subjects and some of them have a tendency towards abstraction, which adds a challenge to my interpretation of reality. Downloading the images from my digital camera is as enjoyable as taking the pictures: it is here where my creative side translates some images to readable abstractions, sometimes just by manipulating the intensity of the colors. I look for special natural effects that are interesting and different. Of course, finding them involves a fair amount of luck because all of my photographs are taken from real life. I am strongly attracted to scenes in which the reflections of water create a new dimension, resulting in the abstraction of nature that captures my emotions in unexpected ways.
What do I want to say with my work?
I want to discover the art and beauty of light and shadow playing in the water, the mysteries in a damaged wall, or the intriguing view through a window, and then to invite the viewer to share and enjoy what my artistic eye sees in these images. |
