Welcome to the Mid-Michigan Art Guild

The Holiday Season is upon us and it’s exciting to see all the art that our members have showing in the different venues around town. When you’re out and about this season you’ll will want to stop by both the
Delta Township Library and Gallery 1212 where you can view artwork from many of our members. Our Members Only Show at the Hope Borbas Library in Okemos was a huge success with over 70 members participating! The board would like to thank all those who entered and a big congratulations to: Bobbie
Margolis who received Best of Show; 1st to Deena Hodson; 2nd place to Katherine Erickson; 3rd place to Zane Balks-Russell; and Honorable Mentions to James Atkinson and Neil O. Leighton! If you weren’t able to make the opening reception on Sunday, do stop by the library sometime before the end of the month.

Join with me in giving Andrea Jeris a huge thank you for all she did in getting our Membership Directory updated and to print. We do have a few new members since the book has gone to print so sometime after the first of the year we will be adding an addendum that will go with your directory. You can pick up your
directory at Gallery 1212 during our holiday party.

MMAG would like to announce two new members to our Board of Directors—Welcome to Bobbie Margolis and Tom Hardin! Both Bobbie and Tom bring a lot to the guild and we are very excited to have them on our board. Tom is taking on the position as web chairperson and we are excited to announce that he is also going to start a MMAG Facebook page and Blog. Once these are up and running, I’ll send you an email so you’ll be able to ‘Like’ us on Facebook and follow both sites as Tom keeps us updated on what’s happening for artists in the Mid-Michigan area. MMAG takes a break in January so there will be no newsletter or meeting and we will see you again in February. Have a safe and joyous Holiday Season and we hope to see you Thursday!
